My wife Patty Billings & I
founded Liberty Sidecars in 1990. I am an industrial designer
and fabricator and have enjoyed operating and restoring sidecars since
1973. Before founding the business, Patty & I took many sidecar trips
together, including two European tours.
Begun in a 1200 sq. ft.
metal fab shop. Liberty Sidecars now flourishes in an 8000 sq ft. 1925
historical industrial building - the classic building is quite in
keeping with the nature of it's products.
At any given time, from
two to four people may be employed in the sidecar production.
Our satisfaction from the
business extends far beyond the monetary: We thoroughly enjoy producing
these gemlike creations for our appreciative customers and we have
been gratified to receive orders from Canada, Japan, Germany, Holland,
Italy, Indonesia, Hong Kong & other countries as well as from all over
the United States.
